“When you read “Out of Africa”, you can see the African hills and the African color, like a picture. It’s a story of respect, love for the Africa and its inhabitants, friendship and reflections: often the narrator remembers various incidents in the farm, but these events are not described in chronological order. Karen Blixen loves a lot Africa, but she takes a part of Europe with herself, for example almost all the guests are Europeans who live in Africa: but there is a connection between the farm and landscape, the antelope Lulu. The narrator often compares Europe to Africa, who is more pure because men are to direct contact with the land. When Finch-Hatton died, she was very sad, so maybe between they, there was a love story. During their flights in airplane, when the hills softly flowed under them, the descriptions become very suggestive as a direct confrontation with the nature. Ending the book you have the feeling to have lived all those situations and to want “to return” in Africa very soon!”
